MMLA गौरव पुरस्कार

Every year MMLA recognizes members of our Marathi community in Los Angeles for their outstanding achievements and contribution to the Marathi Community in Los Angeles and the Marathi community  in North America at large.  This initiative started back in 2009.

The awards are given once every year at the Ganesh Utsav. In 2011 awards were presented at Diwali function.

Background:

Every year MMLA recognizes members of our Marathi community in Los Angeles for their outstanding achievements and contribution to the Marathi Community in Los Angeles and the Marathi community  in North America at large. 
 

The awards are given once every year at the Ganesh Utsav, In 2011 awards were presented Diwali event on 13th November 2011.

 

Selection Procedure:

MMLA’s Board of Trustees select the award winners from the community. All are welcome to nominate a person(s) for the award. All nominations will receive due consideration from the Trustees. 
 

The categories for the Awards are: 

  • Arts and Literature: Outstanding Achievement/contribution in this fields of literature, dance, stage and other fine arts. 
  • Music: Outstanding Achievement/ Contribution in the field of Music including Music Composition, Singing. 
  • MMLA Pillar:  Outstanding Contribution to MMLA over the years. 
  • Science & Technology: Outstanding contribution in the field of science & Technology. 
  • Sports: Outstanding Contribution in the field of Sports. 
  • Entrepreneur: Outstanding contribution/achievement in the field of Entrepreneurship. 
  • Social: Outstanding contribution/achievement in the field of social work (general) and social work (India Specific) 
  • Youth: Outstanding contribution/achievement by youth in general or in academics.
